Last Saturday I roamed the canyons near our house, in search of junk. I had a vision of a layout I wanted to do, I just needed the ingredients to mix together to come out with the proper digital stew. I'm not sure this turned out quite how I had envisioned it, but I did have fun trying to see something that wasn't really in the photos, but existed only in my mind. I found a great junkyard, complete with junkyard dog. I happily snapped a couple of dozen photos, hoping to come up with the parts I needed to create some robots. I've been working on this for the better part of a week. It's not quite as realistic as I hoped it would be, but it was fun, and I think our grandson Aidan will get a kick out of his new friends, the Robot Family. I also included some of the original photos. See if you can pick out any of the Robot parts!

I saw several of the car parts in your robots! What a fun idea!
How fun! Where is that junk yard? I love the colors. I want to go there and take pictures.

So clever of you Steph - what a brilliant idea. We should all try it. He'll love it!
This is so stinkin cute! I love it. I love the pictures of the junk.
That's cool! I think the old Fort down in Key West is filled with a bunch of junk that some inventive individual has turned into art. I always get a kick of of stuff like that.
looks like lots of fun.

Talk about going "junkin". That gives new meaning to fun in the scrapyard. So cute. I loved the trailer hitch for the dogs face.
Wow - love your photos!
Great inspiration - thank you!
