Late morning in New Jersey, the sun is finally out!
The sun is finally out this morning after our big storm, and the blue sky against the pure white snow is dazzling.
But earlier this morning, after the plows had cleared the main roads, but before most people were outside, I took a long walk to see what I could see, and of course, take lots of pictures of the storm.
I'm sure you heard about the big snowstorm that hit the Northeast yesterday- they called it Nemo, for reasons unknown. (Nemo? Wasn't he a Goldfish with Ellen Degeneres' voice?) Here in northeastern New Jersey, I estimate we had somewhere around a foot of snow. Not epic by any means, but certainly the biggest snowfall I've seen seen in a long time. I hear the New England states were hit pretty hard, but here, the results were just.... pretty! I wish all those who have suffered during this storm, quick relief and warmer weather soon.
So, without further ado, I'm going to share a few of my photos with you. Enjoy!

Outside my front door at 8:30 this morning, no footprints yet!

Some lucky people had snowblowers...

While some did it the old fashioned way.

I love how the snow looks in the twisty trunk of this tree.

Look at the snow piled on the picket fences!

Pretty pictures Stef. Have to admit although I grew up with snow in Wisconsin, I don't miss it much--especially the shoveling part. But it really is pretty.
Gorgeous photos -- but man it looks cold. Stay warm!
Beautiful pictures...I love the one with the branches and the sky with the sun peaking through
